I find it quite paradoxical that I am both the sum of my experiences and also entirely separate from them. By this, I mean that I am certainly not the same person I used to be, but the person I used to be is the reason that I am who I am. I suppose this is how addition works, isn’t it? 1+2=3, but 3 is not 1 or 2, despite being made up of them.
